The top Price for Life tier Astound lists is 1.5 Gig (1,500 Mbps), fiber-powered. Astound also notes that its fiber-powered service reaches selected locations only and varies from area to area, so what you can get depends on the exact address you are moving to. We check that before you order.
It is Astound's rate lock on select Gig and faster fiber plans: according to Astound, the monthly rate does not rise as long as the account stays open, you sign no contract, and cancelling carries no penalty. Taxes, surcharges, fees and one-time charges sit outside the lock.
Both are options. Astound's DIRECTV partnership streams live TV over your Astound internet to DIRECTV's Gemini device, so no satellite dish goes up at the new place; that service carries a 2-year price guarantee and requires Astound Internet of 100 Mbps or more. Astound also sells its own service, Astound TV, powered by TiVo.
