Security designed for
the new house.

No box of sensors to fit yourself: a Vivint technician plans the system for the new house, installs it and leaves it working, and Vivint’s own centers monitor it around the clock after that. Book that visit with your move-in date in mind instead of leaving it until the boxes are unpacked.

Technician installation Equipment from $199.99 Monitored in-house by Vivint
Up to 5 months of free monitoring With a qualifying system purchase. Vivint sets the qualifying conditions and can end the offer at any time.

Two tiers

Which alarms reach a person?

Vivint no longer sells a self-monitored option, so every system comes with professional monitoring. The two tiers differ in which alarm types are monitored, and for a new house that is the part to get right.

In practice

What Vivint does once it is fitted

Its own centers

Vivint staffs and runs its monitoring centers itself instead of contracting the work out, and alarms are verified there before anyone is dispatched.

A person checks first

Each alarm goes to someone who confirms it is real before emergency services are called, which helps while everyone is still learning the new house.

Planned around the layout

You have barely learned the new layout, so the technician does it for you: every door, pane of glass and blind spot is checked, and each device goes where it covers them.

Backup built in

A cellular connection and battery backup keep the monitoring up if the line is cut or the electricity goes off.

Help that needs no phone

Nobody has to be holding a phone to get assistance, a comfort with an elderly parent staying over, or children home alone in an unfamiliar house.

Worth a call to your insurer

Insuring the new place? Some insurers lower the premium on home or renters insurance when the house has monitored security, so ask yours.

Ordering around a move

From first call to fitted system

01

Describe the new place

Its size, the doors, whether you are buying or renting, your move-in date and what you want watched. No account or email required.

02

Vivint plans the system

The quote lists each piece of equipment and gives the monthly figure with monitoring and equipment on separate lines, so neither hides inside the other.

03

The install visit

Vivint only sells professional installation. The technician configures and tests the system before leaving, so book it for a day you will be at the new house.
