Xfinity Mobile for movers
Xfinity sells its wireless service only to people who have Xfinity Internet, so the line comes as part of setting up the new address. Phones run on a nationwide cellular network and switch to Xfinity WiFi hotspots, more than twenty million of them, where they can. You run the line from the Xfinity app, and it is billed alongside the internet.
Take an eligible Xfinity Internet plan at the new address and Xfinity will not charge for one new mobile line during its first twelve months. After the year is up, the line is billed at the regular rate for whichever plan you picked. The promotion does not pay taxes and fees. Whether the offer applies depends on the internet plan and the service address, and for you that is the new one, so we check it there.
Mobile Select and Mobile Plus. Select is the base: talk, text and data are unlimited, and it keeps working in 215-plus destinations abroad. Plus builds on Select with 4K video, device protection, spam-call protection and a yearly phone upgrade at a guaranteed discount. For Xfinity Internet customers, both cost less in the first year before regular rates apply.
Select and Plus share the basics: unlimited US talk and text, use abroad in over 215 destinations, hotspot data, PowerBoost on WiFi and HD video. Going to Plus gets you video in 4K Ultra HD, device protection as part of the plan, screening for spam calls and a guaranteed discount each time you upgrade yearly. If phones in your house tend to get dropped or replaced, Plus is the one to price.
In most cases. Compatible unlocked phones can move over, and porting brings your number from the current carrier as part of activation, so the number the movers and the new landlord have does not change. We check your handset on the call.
Data is unlimited, and service is not cut off at a cap. Video on Select plays in HD; Plus goes up to 4K Ultra HD. If the network is busy, someone who has used a lot of data may find speeds lowered for a while after passing a usage threshold, which is common practice among carriers. If the phones will carry the household until the home internet is installed, say so and we will factor that into the plan.
