No. Every Spectrum Internet plan includes unlimited data with no monthly allowance and no overage fees, and a free modem is included on all tiers. The only optional extra is Advanced WiFi at $10/mo, which is included on Gig and on bundles.
It is Spectrum's managed router service at $10/mo, included with the Gig plan and with bundles. It gives better coverage control and easier device management. In a large or awkwardly shaped home it earns its cost; in a small apartment it usually does not.
The one-year price guarantee holds your promotional rate for twelve months, after which Spectrum's standard rate applies. Bundling a second service extends the guarantee to two years and a third to three, which is the main reason bundling is worth considering.
